Sometimes We Give Our All… And Still Feel Unseen

Silhouette under the moon reflecting feelings of anxiety, neglect, and unloved, contrasted with healing words like love, respect, and acceptance.

There are days in life when we know exactly how much love we’ve poured into someone without ever making them realise it…

How deeply we’ve cared.

How gently we’ve held their world, even when ours felt heavy.

And still… sometimes, all that love doesn’t come back to us.

We remind ourselves that we shouldn’t expect anything in return.

We tell ourselves to be selfless givers or what are we doing is not enough.

We question ourselves - 'what are we doing worng? '.

But the truth is — expectations always exist.

Not expectations of praise, gifts, or gratitude…but the quiet hope that our efforts will be seen.

That our care will be noticed.

That our presence will matter.

But instead, what comes back is the opposite.

Instead of warmth, we receive coldness.

Instead of appreciation, we’re taken for granted.

Instead of being held, we’re left feeling small, unimportant, invisible.

And sometimes we are also told, that who asked us to do all this and they never wanted us.

It hurts — not because we need anything grand in return,

but because we hoped to be valued

the way we valued them.

We give our affection, our attention, our time, our softness.

We pour are heart and soul in it.

We stay even when it hurts.

We love even when our heart trembles.

We try even when we are tired.

We try understanding other persons perspective, ignoring our own thoughts and preferences.

Yet the moment we think about ourselves — just once —

we’re called selfish.

Mean.

Unfair.

As if caring for our own heart is a crime.

And so we sit with this quiet ache inside us, wondering why loving someone so deeply doesn’t always bring love back.

But here’s the truth you often forget:

You are not wrong for loving.

You are not wrong for giving.

You are not wrong for caring with your whole heart.

This all just shows what a gem of a person your are.

You are meant to be treasured and valued.

And you are not selfish for wanting to be treated with the same softness you offer everyone else.

Sometimes, the problem is not how much you give —

but who you’re giving it to.

Sometimes, you are simply loving people who were never taught how to love back or appreciate what they are blessed with.

And sometimes… the universe quietly removes people from your life

so you can return home to yourself. Find your peace.

So if you feel unseen right now,

if you feel unappreciated,

if you feel misunderstood for choosing yourself —

take a breath.

Softly.

Slowly.

Your heart will not always hurt like this.

Your future will not always look like today.

One day, you will meet someone — maybe a person, maybe a dream, maybe a version of you —who gives back everything you once gave away.

And it will make sense.

Every moment of pain, every lesson, every tear.

It will become a chapter that led you somewhere gentler.

Until then, remember:

You are allowed to choose yourself.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to be loved the way your heart desires.

And nothing that is meant for you will ever make you feel small.

Because at the end of the day, the most important love is the love you give yourself.

Your heart deserves to come first.

And you are never wrong for doing that.

Love yourself, and accept yourself

exactly as you are. πŸ’›

Just be yourself πŸ’œ

Thank you for being here🌸
